UN surveillance drones to be deployed over Mali, but why?

AZAWAD (Siwel) According to BBC Africa, surveillance drones should be used by the United Nations in northern Mali, that is in Azawad. The Security Council has not yet voted and confirmed the decision but the Malian Foreign Minister Abdoulaye Diop said that the government wanted the drones “as soon as possible.”

One wonders why the Mali and the UN want to send drones in Azawad while Islamists from Mujao circulate freely between Malian soldiers, the Minusma peacekeepers and Servals French troups in particular in Gao. In addition, MNLA units, which are the only fighting the jihadists have never received any logistical support in the fight against Mujao

The fight against Islamist terrorism put forward by the UN member states does not convinced anybody as the close relationship between jihadists “supporters” and “Western avengers” are obvious.

The West curiously put up with all the Arab and Islamic states who finance international jihadism, while they themselves support and arm a whole sections of jihadists, such as the “Syrian Rebellion”
